It explores key elements of international trade — including global sourcing strategies, logistics operations, customs procedures, trade documentation, and payment methods — while emphasizing risk management, compliance, and ethical practices in international business.

It prepares students for roles in import/export operations, logistics coordination, procurement, and supply chain management across both public and private sectors.

This course introduces learners to the key concepts, systems, and practices involved in managing inventory and warehouse operations efficiently. It emphasizes the role of inventory control in supply chain performance, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction. Students will gain practical skills in stock management, warehouse organization, and the use of technology to enhance operational efficiency.

This unit examines the strategic role of procurement and supply chain functions within organisations. Learners will explore how procurement interacts with broader supply chain activities and how integration across functions (sourcing, logistics, warehousing, distribution) supports organisational objectives such as cost-efficiency, responsiveness, risk mitigation and sustainability. The unit emphasises local Kenyan regulatory, economic and business environments while comparing global trends.

This course introduces learners to the principles, processes, and legal framework governing public procurement. It equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to plan, source, evaluate, and manage procurement activities within public entities in compliance with public procurement laws and regulations.

The course emphasizes transparency, accountability, value for money, and ethical conduct in the public procurement system. Learners will explore both traditional and electronic procurement methods, tendering procedures, contract management, and the role of regulatory bodies.
